LDT Advanced 1 (LDA1): Lymph, Interstitial Fluid & Blood; Applications to Humans, Animals & Plants

Superficial-Lymphatic-circulation-horse

Course Description

Expand your understanding of blood, lymph and interstitial fluids, including applications to humans, animals and plants. Apply your LDT techniques to the Central nervous system (pia and dura), to intraoral articulations, and to semi-circular canal to name a few.

Class Length

4 days

CEUs

24 hours for numerous professions

Course Highlights

  • Mapping of the superficial and deep lymph flow, the layers of fascia and interstitial fluid stagnations. No-mapping" zone
  • Interstitial fluid release, with applications for edema, fascia, muscles, skin (i.e. scars and acne), and articulations (ethmoid, sacroiliac and coccyx)
  • Semi-circular canal release for tinnitus and vertigo
  • Articulation fluid release techniques for upper cervical, ilium, sacrum, sacroiliac joint, periorbital articulations, ethmoid, sphenoid and intraoral articulations
  • Significance of centrifugal/centripetal rhythm
  • Methods to assess and release the ventricles of the brain and the spinal canal
  • Drainage of the dura and pia mater
  • Lympho-fascia release
  • Applications to viscera: Stomach, root of the mesentery, ovaries and colon
  • Microanatomy / microphysiology: applications for cells, organelles, atoms and particles

Prerequisite: LDT3

LDA1 Participation Preparation Recommendations

Please read the following sections in Silent Waves:

Part 1 chapter 8, the immune cells; Part 5 chapter 8,9,10,13,14,and 15; Part 6 chapter 1 and 3.

In-depth advance study of anatomy is important for this class. Review the list of words and see where your stand with your knowledge. We have provided a list of terms below you need to study before attending this course.

1. Review the following plates in Netter's Atlas of Human Anatomy (1st Edition Netter=1E, 2nd Edition Netter=2E, 3rd Edition Netter=3E, 4th Editio Netter=4E)

  • Intraoral bones and articulations: 2E=34,3E=34,4E=38
  • Bones and articulations of the face (including ethmoid, nasal, lacrimal and maxilla): 2E=1,3E=2,4E=2
  • Sacroiliac joint: 2E=231,3E=342,4E=354
  • Medial pterygoid: 2E=49,3E=51,4E=55
  • Semicircular canal: 2E=90-91,3E=90-91,4E=95-96
  • Venous sinus: 2E=91-92,3E=91-92,4E=96-97

2. Be sure you clearly understand the following words, as applicable. You should know precisely where to locate them in the body and what the physiology related to these structures is.

  • Cranial bones and structures: ethmoid, vomer, lachrimal, nasal, palatine, pterygoid process and pterygoid hamulus, median and transverse palatine suture
  • Brain ventricles, frontal horn, temporal horn, occipital horn, central part, interventricular foramen of Monro, optic recess, interthalamic adhesion, aqueduct of Sylvius, third and fourth, lateral recess, foramen of Magendie, foramen of Luschka, choroid plexus of lateral third and fourth ventricles, central canal of the spinal cord
  • Atoms, molecules, organelles, cells, tissues, organs, cell membranes, nuclei, nucleolus, DNA (deoxyribonucleic acid), RNA (ribonucleic acid), mRNA (messenger RNA), tRNA (transfer RNA), cytoplasm, centriole (basal bodies), Golgi apparatus or Golgi complex, ribosome (ribonucleoprotein), endoplasmic reticulum (ER), mitochondria, granule/vesicl /vacuole, microfilaments (actin filaments), intermediate filaments, microtubules, extracellular matrix (ground substance), collagen fibers, elastic fibers, vascular smooth muscle
  • Heart structures: atrium, ventricle, septum
  • Veins: facial, femoral, internal jugular, portal, pulmonary, temporal, inferior vena cava
